Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Congratulations and well done to our Year 3 and Year 5 students who this week completed the 2019 NAPLAN tests. This year was the first year that we undertook the NAPLAN tests online. The students and teachers are commended for their hard work and fine efforts with the assessments. There are still just a small number of Year 5 students who are to re-sit the Writing test due to the technical challenges that were experienced across the nation on the first day of the NAPLAN tests.
Reminders for this week include:
- Importance for being on time for school each morning. Our school day commences at 8.30am. There is still a big improvement needed in this area by some students and families.
- An electronic ‘Family Survey’ willl be sent to all families in preparation for the school’s upcoming Cyclic Review in July. Your feedback is valuable to us.
- Some of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students represented our school today at the annual Sorry Day Service at Minto.
- This week’s Friday afternoon assembly led by Year 2 commences at 2.00pm.
- Parish Family Mass on Saturday 25th May at 6.00pm.
Best wishes for the coming week,
Philip Barrington
