From the Principal...
I would like to begin by sincerely thanking everyone for their warm congratulations and kind words regarding my substantive appointment as Principal of St Thomas More Primary School. I am truly excited to continue this journey with our wonderful students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. Together, I am confident we can achieve great things!
It has been a busy and productive term, culminating in the release of Semester 1 Academic Reports and the recent Parent/Teacher/Student interviews. I extend my heartfelt thanks to our teachers for their hard work and commitment in preparing these reports and engaging with families to discuss each child’s progress. I encourage all parents and carers to take the time to review the reports with your child and explore ways to support their continued growth and development.
This morning, we began our day with a special NAIDOC Liturgy. I would like to thank Mrs Baker and Mr Oldfield, our Catholic Education Office Aboriginal Education Assistant, for their thoughtful preparation and for supporting our Aboriginal students in leading us in prayer. It was a moving and sacred occasion that allowed our community to honour and celebrate the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
GOLD AWARDS: Congratulations to our students who received their Gold Award last week! This is a remarkable achievement that reflects their hard work, perseverance, and dedication. It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers at the assembly, sharing in the celebration and supporting their child’s success.

This year we proudly launched our St Thomas More WOW WALL—a special space in the office dedicated to celebrating exceptional student work from Kindergarten through to Year 6. Throughout the first half of the year, we’ve showcased some truly outstanding efforts, and each student featured on the WOW WALL has also received a reward from the Principal’s Prize Box!
Congratulations to all the students who have earned a place on the wall so far. I’m excited to see even more amazing work in the second half of the year!
As we reach the end of another busy and productive term, I want to take a moment to thank our wonderful students, dedicated staff, and supportive families for all your efforts and contributions over the term.
Our school has been filled with learning, laughter, and many proud moments—from academic achievements to community celebrations and everything in between. It’s been a joy to see our students growing not only in knowledge but also in confidence and kindness.
I wish all our families a safe, restful, and enjoyable school holiday. May it be a time to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting term ahead. A reminder that school returns on Monday 21st of July.
Loving God,
Thank You for a wonderful school term and for all we have learned and shared.
As we begin our holidays, watch over us and keep us safe.
Bless our families, our friends, and all those we meet.
May this time be filled with joy, rest, and Your peace.
Help us return refreshed, ready to grow and learn again.
Amen.
