Dear Parents and Carers,
Dear Jesus,
Help me today at school to show respect to all those who work with me.
To do my best in class and to play fairly with my friends.
Help me to make this a happy day for myself and all those I meet.
Thank you for parents who look after me, friends who play with me and teachers who are patient with me.
We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Enrolling now for 2025
St Thomas More School is enrolling now for 2025. If you have a child who is to start Kindergarten in 2025, please access and complete the electronic enrolment form which is located on our school website. The enrolment period closes on Friday 12th April and interviews will be conducted early in Term 2. Please spread the word about our great school.
Thursday 21st March is Harmony Day
Harmony Day is when we celebrate and are thankful for our cultural diversity. We are lucky to live in a country with many cultures living and working together in harmony. At STM in 2024 the colours for Harmony Day are Orange and Purple. On Friday 21st March children are asked to wear mufti clothes to school with a splash of orange and/or purple to school. For the privilege of wearing mufti clothes to school we are asking each child to make a gold coin donation which will then be sent to Project Compassion.
Dismissal
Thank you to all parents and carers who consistently abide by the road rules and school expectations involved in our school dismissal each afternoon. Parents are reminded that it is illegal to stop in St Johns Road and block the road while waiting for the internal road to clear. If the internal road is full of cars and you cannot enter the internal road please continue along St Johns Road and turn around in the roundabout. Police and council rangers have been patrolling the area. All staff are on duty each afternoon to assist the children into the cars efficiently and as quickly as possible. Parents are asked to assist in our procedures by abiding by the road laws.
