Dear Parents and Carers,

The month of May is dedicated to Mary, Jesus’ mother and our mother. For centuries the Catholic Church has set aside the entire month of May to honour Mary, Mother of God. Mary is our Mother who cares for all of us and without fail, interceding for us in even the tiniest matters. It is no coincidence that Mother’s Day falls in the month of May. We trust that on last Sunday that all mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts and female carers were treated well on their special day. Thank you to the many parent helpers and the P&F Association for coordinating and organising the Mother’s Day stall and Afternoon Tea last Friday. We saw many huge smiles on the faces of children who were very pleased with their purchases at the Mother’s Day stall. We are sure that all of the mums were most impressed with the gifts that were chosen.

Tell Them From Me Survey
As communicated to you in previous newsletters, that from 2024 all schools in Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong, will conduct the ‘Tell Them From Me Survey’. This will occur each year around this time of year. Parents, staff and students will be involved in the survey. The survey is now open for parents and will remain open until 24th May. Thank you to those who have already completed this survey but we require many more families to also do this. The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL: http://tellthemfromme.com/stm2024

STM 2024 School Athletics Carnival
Our school Athletics Carnival is being held at Campbelltown Athletics Stadium, Leumeah on Wednesday, 12 June 2024. The carnival activities will commence with the 800m at 8:30am and will conclude at 2.00pm. Please access all information regarding this event through Compass. All students require their parents consent via Compass to attend this event.

P&F Association
The STM P&F Association is currently organising a school disco. More details will be sent home in the coming weeks. STM School Disco will be held on Friday 21st June 2024 in the School Hall. There will be two sessions. One session for students Kindergarten to Year 2 and another for Year 3 to Year 6. The next P&F Meeting will be held on Monday 3rd June at 7.00pm in the Library.

Semester 1 Reports
Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong has revised the Student Semester Reports. The teachers are currently writing the students’ Semester 1 reports which will be sent home to you via Compass on Friday 28th June. All children from Kindergarten to Year 6 will receive a Semester 1 report. Please access the following links which explains how the Semester 1 reports have changed.

Enrolling now for 2025
St Thomas More School is enrolling now for 2025. If you have a child who is to start Kindergarten in 2025, please access and complete the electronic enrolment form which is located on our school website.
