Dear Parents and Carers,
Spring has most certainly sprung in recent days with some spectacular weather. Hopefully you have had an opportunity to stop your busy lives and to appreciate this wonderful weather and time that we have been blessed with.
Students are asked to remain in their Winter uniform until the end of Week 8 (11th September). During Weeks 9 and 10 parents may decide as to which uniform to send their children to school in: Winter or Summer. When we return to school in Term 4 (Tuesday 13th October) students are asked to wear their Summer uniform.
Happy Father’s Day to all dads, grandfathers, pops, uncles, step dads and male carers. We hope that you have a special day on Sunday. Thanks for all that you do in loving, caring and supporting your children.
It is with sadness that I inform you that Miss Ana Kristo’s father unexpectedly and suddenly passed away last Friday. Miss Kristo teaches Kindergarten Gold. Our prayers, love and support are with Miss Kristo, her mother and her siblings.
Thank you to Scott Wakeling and Wakeling Automotive for their generous donation of $2,500.00 to the school’s P&F Association. Wakelings are great supporters of our school and have been for many years.
Thank you to all parents and carers for your cooperation with us each afternoon as we constantly update our dismissal procedures in the name of safety. Thank you for your patience as we maintain distance and ensure the safety of each student each afternoon. Thank you to the cars in the pick up line who give way to the buses and to the parents who wait patiently as we send your children to you.
You will see further in this newsletter, details about our Book Week celebrations for 2020. Thanks to the wonderful staff who have been creative in their suggestions so as to ensure that such an occasion can still go ahead, even with Covid restrictions in place. Thank you to Mrs Santa Maria and Miss Figueiras for their organisation of this event.
A reminder that Friday 25th September (last Friday of Term 3) and Monday 12th October (first Monday of Term 4) are Pupil Free days. The entire staff will be involved in professional development and will be working off site so as to maintain safety for all adults. The focus of the two days are Staff Spirituality and Social and Emotional Learning program.
Friday 4th September is Jersey Day. Our school is again participating in Mufti/Jersey/Footy Colours Day to raise awareness for Organ and Tissue donation. This is an extraordinary mufti day, not to raise money donations but to raise our awareness of this worthy cause.

Swimming Program
Due to the current restrictions we find ourselves in, due to COVID, we have had no choice but to cancel the swimming program for this year. We understand that this will be a great disappointment to many of our families, as the students all had such a good time last year.
We assure you the program will be back next year, so this is something to look forward to.
PB4L: Positive Behaviours 4 Learning
Congratulations to our Year 3 students for not acquiring any ‘Minor or Major’ behaviours so far this term. As a credit to their outstanding behaviour, they were rewarded with extra playtime after Lunch 2 last Friday.
We hope to see more Year groups earning a special reward throughout the year.
Thank you to all those students in our school community who consistently follow our school rules and live a life of truth and love.
